Fabric Frame
Capturing every thread
I am the story of discarded things.
I am a frame found in a thrift shop.
Sheathed in muslin,
fragments fused
from the relics
of projects past.
Run your finger along an edge.
Can you see
the blouse I’d hoped to be?
The shoulder bag? The summer dress?
I am the reimagination of debris.
I am rebellion, anti-annihilation.
Yard of potential,
castoffs curated
and spared from
certain extinction.
Until the mage found her muse.
Do you see
the vision she had for me?
A naked wall? An empty shelf?
I am the art of rediscovery.
This is an offering with the hope of finding its home in a friend’s artwork (image below). Process notes can be found here.

Another persons trash is one persons treasure?? I love the subjectivity of the thrift there are so many good things there 💕
Bravo!
